 Golden Cycling Tour

     Cycling in the superb mountains of Iran, visiting the nomads and experiencing the best outdoors adventures is what we want to offer you in this tour. You will visit the ancient but evoking sites of Iran such as Persepolis, Imam Square, Bam citadel and the fire temple in Yazd.
     We will start our cycling from Shiraz and go to the high altitudes of Zagros mountain ranges (higher than 4000 meters). You will also enjoy visiting some beautiful cities such as Shiraz, Isfahan, Yazd, Bam, Kerman, Yasooj and Tehran.
     During five days cycling (maximum 100km per day), you will enjoy riding bicycle in the appealing nature. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit several beautiful cities such as Semirom, Yasooj and Sisakht.

Our driving escort will accompany you during your cycling.

The conditions for joining the tour: Good physical state for cycling for 5 days. The average cycling length is 100km per day.

Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrive in Tehran, transfer to the hotel

Day 2: H/D city tour in Tehran. Visit the Crown Jewels Museum with its impressive collection of precious gems and dazzling works of art. Continue on to Sa'dabad Palace and the Museum of Reza Abbasi, named after the most famous miniaturist of the Safavid era. The museum, opened in 1977, exhibits artifacts dating back to prehistoric and Islamic periods, and is particularly rich in calligraphy. flight to Shiraz.

Day 3: One of the highlights of any tour of Iran is a visit to Shiraz and to neighboring Persepolis, the capital of Darius. Shiraz is traditionally known as the city of Roses and Nightingales, but has become known in recent times as a seat of intellectual learning. It was home to Saadi and Hafez, the famed Persian poets, and is considered the cradle of Persian Civilization. Persepolis, which in Greek literally means the capital of Persia, lies 36 miles north of Shiraz. Persepolis is the ultimate expression of the ancient Middle East. Construction began by Darius the Great (521 - 468 BC) as the focus of the mighty Achaemenian Empire nearly 2,500 years ago. Spend a half day exploring these mighty ruins. Your tour will also include the Kuh-i-Rehmat, Nagsh-e-Rustam (Relief of Rustam) and Nagsh-e-Rajab. You will also enjoy another half day tour in the afternoon with visits to the Eram Garden, the tombs of the Persian poets Saadi and Hafiz, Nasirol-Molk Mosque, the Church of Saint Simon the Zealot, Vakil Mosque, and the Shrine of Shah-Cheragh "King of Light" , noted for its dazzling mirror tiles.

Day 4-9: We will start cycling from Shiraz to Isfahan via Semirom, Sisakht and Yasooj. We will continue trekking through mountains and camping along the way. The heavy luggage is carrying by escorting coach driving with us during the trip.

Day 9: Arrive in Isfahan, transfer to the hotel.

Day 10: Your full day tour includes the famed Imam Square (Naqsh-e-Jahan), a huge square second in the world to Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Tour the architectural marvels of Sheikh Lotfollah and Imam Mosques, Aliqapu Palace, Chehel Sutoon Palace, and also visit one of the most famous bazaars in Iran, where you can purchase the arts & crafts for which Isfahan is so well renowned.

Day 11: H/d city tour in Isfahan includes Hasht Behesht and Vank Church as well as the famous bridges. In particular, the "33 arch bridge" or "Si o Se Pol" dates from 1602 and is a colorful meeting place for locals to gather, drink tea, and refresh themselves.
leaving for Yazd via Na’in.

Day 12: Full day city tour in Yazd. Visit the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, and the Fire Temple, whose fire has allegedly burned continuously for over a thousand years. Also, pay a visit to the Doulat Abad Garden with its clever ventilation shafts, known as badgirs or "wind towers." In the afternoon, visit the local famous Jameh and Mir-Chakhmaq Mosques, overnight stay in Yazd.

Day 13: Drive to Bam, on the way visiting Mahan.

Day 14: H/D City tour in Bam (Bam Citadel), desert trekking, staying in the desert over night.

Day 15: Leaving for Kerman (Jameh Mosque, Ganjali Khan Bath and Vakil Bazaar), flight to Tehran, free at leisure in the evening.

Day 16: Free at leisure in the morning, transfer to the airport in the afternoon for leaving Iran.
