Trekking Around Alamkouh Mountain

Difficulty: (This tour has some light mountain climbing)

Tour Length: 3 days

We will start this tour from Roudbarak town. On our way, we will move toward Kelardasht which is wonderfully a nice village, and then to Vandarbon. From this summer residing place, we will trek along Sardabroud River to reach the Kaljaran Junction.

We will stay overnight in the villagers’ hut in Mianroud. Early in the morning, we will leave Mianroud through Taleghan route along a river to the south. We will continue our route toward the conical tower on Narges peak.

After traversing around Gardounkouh peak, we will climb a little bit higher and stay near a continental glacier overnight.

In the morning of the third day we will hike along this route toward Hezarcham pass. After crossing Lashgarak plain and Hearhal in Alamkouh and Taleghan, we will pass Galou gorge and the green lands of Khoramdasht at the right side of the river. Finally we will reach Vandarbon again.

Attractions

Visiting a complex of summits more than 4000m height with some glaciers, stone walls and ponds will make this trip a memorable trekking in Alborz around Takht-e Solieman complex.

This vast area is bounded with Abbas Abad, Chalous and Tonekabon forests from north and with the valley of Chalous River from east. Taleghan valley is on its south and Sehezar valley on its west.

P.S. This trekking will sometimes cover light mountain climbing and is a little bit more difficult than other trekking and due to its height in some parts of the program, it is necessary to bring anorak or sport jacket with yourself.
