Sabalan Summit (Northeast Front)

Sabalan summit is located in the northwest of Ardabil province and is among the famous mountains in Iran. Sabalan and its surrounding summits bound from north to Meshkin Shar and Lari region and from south to Sarab public region. It is set between Ardabil and Sarein to the east and Heris to the west. Sabalan is a dormant volcano.

Attractions

Its attractions are a beautiful lake on top of a summit of 4800m high, several small and big glaciers and spas in Sarein, Moil, Ghatursar and Shabil.

Itinerary

Day 1: This tours starts from Ardabil or Tabriz. We will move toward Meshkinshahr to visit the national park and the spa there. We will then move from Meshkinshahr to Hoseinieh shelter by 4WD car and stay in the shelter overnight.

Day 2: At 6 am, move toward the summit (About 6 hours hiking). After visiting the lake, we will return to the shelter (we will rest in suitable places on the way depending on the climate and the ability of the participants) and stay overnight there.

Day 3: At 7 am, move back toward Meshkin Shahr by car and eat lunch there.

P.S. We can also extend the tour in the afternoon of the third day to Sarein and enjoy swimming in the spas or even extend it longer to the Caspian Sea to visit the Gisou coast and the pleasant atmosphere there.
